About

Hasan Khalid is a creative director, video director, brand strategy consultant, and anti-disciplinary artist based between NYC and The Mediterranean. Their unique understanding of culture and brand identity has for many years been a resource for publishers and creative agencies in identifying the white space for their visual communication and brand building projects.

Most recently, they have served as Director of Creative Development at GQ Magazine - where they focused on new developments for the magazine’s editorial video landscape, within the era of New Masculinity.

Hasan has directed countless celebrities for cover fashion films from the likes of Zoe Kravitz and Jacob Elordi, developed bespoke creative concepts for the first-ever GQ Video Cover with Andre 3000, piloted net-new episodic video series’ and red carpet events, as well as overseen the creative for countless projects through a hands-on collaborative approach.

Prior to their role at GQ, they spent 8+ years working within creative agencies, experience design studios, and publishers as a Creative Strategist - building 360 brand campaigns, experiential activations, growing // winning new business, and launching brands into the world.

Hasan’s leadership style will always prioritize empowering people and listening before speaking and has taken active actions towards shifting our industries into a more equitable space for all people.

Currently, their work is being guided by a central question: How do we cultivate meaningful lives in an era of polycrisis—marked by ecological destruction, political instability, and techno-cultural disconnection?
